About metrodelhi.org
Who runs this guide and where its information comes from.
metrodelhi.org is an independent guide to the Delhi Metro. It has one page for each of the 10 lines and each of the 254 stations, a map, first and last trains, fares, a route planner and a guide to the Airport Express. It is not run by, or affiliated with, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), Rapid Metro Gurugram or the Noida Metro Rail Corporation.
Who makes it
The site is published by David Franco Aguirre under GoRandom, a small independent publisher of travel and public-transport guides based in Bilbao, Spain, which runs similar guides to metro systems in other cities. We do not claim first-hand experience of every station: what this site offers is DMRC’s own information, checked and explained.
Where the information comes from
- DMRC’s website (delhimetrorail.com): the lines and the order of their stations, each station’s gates, platforms, lifts, parking and nearby places, the journey planner behind every first and last train, running time and fare, the train-frequency and fare pages, and DMRC press releases for network figures and new openings.
- Wikipedia, for opening dates and former names that DMRC does not publish station by station; these are marked as such.
- OpenStreetMap contributors, for named places within walking distance of each station.
- The map is a free schematic by PlaneMad and RaviC on Wikimedia Commons (CC BY-SA 2.5), with station names updated by us.
How we keep it accurate
Numbers on this site are generated from the data, not typed in by hand, so a station page cannot keep an old time because nobody rewrote its paragraph. Where DMRC does not publish something — weekend timings for each station, passenger numbers per station, interchange walking times — we say so rather than guess, and where DMRC’s own data contradicts itself we leave the figure out. If you spot something wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
