Najafgarh opened on 4 October 2019 as a Phase III station of the Grey Line, which starts at Dwarka-Kakrola. It is underground, and the published description gives its length as 288 m and its depth as 21 m below road level.

An additional parking area was provided outside the station under the multi-modal integration approach, to handle the extra traffic in the area. Today the station is no longer the end of the line: trains continue one stop further to Dhansa Bus Stand, and the other direction runs back to Dwarka-Kakrola, where the Grey Line meets the Blue Line.

Departure times from this station on a weekday, as DMRC’s journey planner gives them (checked on Tuesday 20 October 2026; the planner takes no date). DMRC does not publish separate Saturday, Sunday or holiday times for each station, and on special days it announces changes in advance. A last train after midnight belongs to the previous evening’s service. “Not published” means DMRC’s own answer was inconsistent (arrival before departure), so we leave it out.
