Akshardham Metro Station
Blue Line · East Delhi, Delhi
About Akshardham metro station
Akshardham opened on 12 November 2009 on the Blue Line, on the elevated section between Yamuna Bank and Mayur Vihar-I. It was designed to complement the Akshardham Mandir close by, and on completion it was the tallest station in the system, a record later passed to Mayur Vihar-I on the Pink Line. It also carried visitors to the 2010 Commonwealth Games, whose village DMRC lists 1.8 km from the station.
The station has three gates: one onto the East Approach Road, one on the parking side and one at a foot over bridge. Trains towards Noida Electronic City and Dwarka Sector 21 call here. Trains to Vaishali do not, because the Vaishali branch leaves the main line at Yamuna Bank, the neighbouring station. On the other side, the next stop is Mayur Vihar-I, an interchange with the Pink Line.

Departure times from this station on a weekday, as DMRC’s journey planner gives them (checked on Tuesday 20 October 2026; the planner takes no date). DMRC does not publish separate Saturday, Sunday or holiday times for each station, and on special days it announces changes in advance. A last train after midnight belongs to the previous evening’s service. “Not published” means DMRC’s own answer was inconsistent (arrival before departure), so we leave it out.
