The Ramakrishna Mission gives this station its name, and DMRC lists the mission just 0.2 km from it. The station opened on 30 December 2005 on the Blue Line and is elevated, next to Rajiv Chowk, with Jhandewalan on the other side.
It has four public gates in DMRC’s list: Gate 2 for the Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi railway station and Paharganj; Gate 3 for Gole Market; Gate 4 for Lady Hardinge Hospital; and Gate 5 for the parking. E-rickshaws from the station run to New Delhi railway station, and ATMs and other shops are found at concourse and ground level. Eastbound trains from here go to Noida Electronic City or Vaishali.
