Trains first called at Udyog Nagar on 2 April 2010, when this stretch of the Green Line came into service. The station is built on a viaduct with a platform on each side of the two tracks, and DMRC describes it simply as one of its elevated stations. It shares its name with the Udyog Nagar Industrial Area, which one of its two gates serves.

The station sits between Peeragarhi and Maharaja Surajmal Stadium. Platform 1 is for trains to Brig. Hoshiar Singh; platform 2 carries trains heading into the city, which DMRC signs for both Inderlok and Kirti Nagar. The line divides at Ashok Park Main, so check the destination on the train before boarding if you need one particular branch.

Departure times from this station on a weekday, as DMRC’s journey planner gives them (checked on Tuesday 20 October 2026; the planner takes no date). DMRC does not publish separate Saturday, Sunday or holiday times for each station, and on special days it announces changes in advance. A last train after midnight belongs to the previous evening’s service. “Not published” means DMRC’s own answer was inconsistent (arrival before departure), so we leave it out.
