Dashrathpuri opened to the public on 29 May 2018 as part of Phase III, one of the underground stations of the Magenta Line between Dabri Mor – Janakpuri South and Palam. DMRC’s own note about it is short: the station is close to the Sulabh International Museum and connects the residential areas of Mahavir Enclave and Bengali Colony.

Its three gates are named for Nasirpur Village, Sulabh International and Vijay Enclave. As on the rest of the line, platform doors open only when they are aligned with the doors of a halted train, and trains run on the Magenta Line’s section between Krishna Park Extension and Botanical Garden.
