Bhikaji Cama Place opened on 6 August 2018 on the Pink Line, underground beneath the Ring Road between Sarojini Nagar and Sir M. Vishweshwaraiah Moti Bagh. The area it serves is named after Bhikaji Cama, the freedom fighter credited with creating an early version of the Indian flag. DMRC notes that the station is also known as GAIL Bhikaji Cama Place.

The gates are named after the buildings around them. Gate 3 serves the EIL office and Gate 2 the DTC Sarojini Nagar depot. There are two entries numbered Gate 1: one through a subway towards GAIL India and one at Palika Bhawan. There are two platforms on the ring, one for Majlis Park and Yamuna Vihar and the other for Maujpur-Babarpur and Shiv Vihar.
