Mewala Maharajpur opened on 6 September 2015 on the Faridabad section of the Violet Line. It is an elevated station with side platforms, between NHPC Chowk and Sector 28, about two minutes from each.

DMRC’s description adds only that it is one of the network’s elevated stations, with phone numbers for the station officer. The gates are more telling, because each is signed for a group of Faridabad sectors and landmarks: Gate No. 1 for Havells Chowk, Sector 30, Sector 31 and Spring Field Colony; Gate No. 2 for the S.R.S. IT Park and Mitra; and Gate No. 3 for Sectors 43, 44 and 45 and Pooja Forge.
