New Delhi is a terminus of the Airport Express Line and a through station on the Yellow Line.

The Yellow Line platforms at New Delhi opened on 3 July 2005; the station later also became the city end of the Airport Express, which DMRC also calls the Orange Line. DMRC describes it as an underground station with a city check-in facility, an interchange with the Yellow Line, and a link to IGI Airport Terminals 3 and 2 and to New Delhi Railway Station, a junction where many important trains originate or call.

The station overlooks the railway station’s Ajmeri Gate side, and a skywalk linking the metro with New Delhi railway station was opened in February 2022. On the Yellow Line its neighbours are Chawri Bazar and Rajiv Chowk; on the Airport Express Line the first stop is Shivaji Stadium, and DMRC lists four Airport Express platforms, all signed for Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25.

DMRC does not publish separate Saturday, Sunday or holiday times for each station, and on special days it announces changes in advance. A last train after midnight belongs to the previous evening’s service. “Not published” means DMRC’s own answer was inconsistent (arrival before departure), so we leave it out.
