Qutab Minar opened on 21 June 2010 as one end of the 14.47 km Yellow Line corridor to Gurugram, which was elevated throughout. DMRC spells the monument Qutub and describes the station as elevated, standing on Anuvrat Marg beside Mittal Garden, between Saket and Chhatarpur.

There are just two entrances, both on Anuvrat Marg. DMRC’s own note sets out how they are used: Gate 1 is the entry from Anuvrat Marg, near a foot over bridge on the north side towards M.B. Road and close to the parking entrance; Gate 2 is the exit on the south side near Mittal Garden, towards Chhatarpur. DMRC also mentions a TSR (auto-rickshaw) Halt & Go facility inside the station premises, and two Sulabh toilets, one by the parking lot and one just outside Gate 2. Beyond tourists, DMRC says the station serves Mehrauli town, Dadabadhi, Mittal Garden, Lado Sarai, Jain Mandir, Picnic Ghat, Andheriya Mod and Chhatarpur Pahadi.
