Opened on 1 April 2006, Dwarka Sector 9 is an elevated Blue Line station with two side platforms. Its neighbours are Dwarka Sector 8 and Dwarka Sector 10, and DMRC records no former name. Its own description from DMRC is limited to calling it one of the several elevated stations on the network.

The two gates carry practical labels: Gate 1 is named after the Sector 23 marble market and Gate 2 after a gas agency. Platform 1 serves trains to Noida Electronic City and Vaishali, and Platform 2 the two-stop run to Dwarka Sector 21.
