Janakpuri East has been on the Blue Line since 30 December 2005, an elevated stop in West Delhi. It sits two minutes from Tilak Nagar and under two from Janakpuri West.

DMRC lists it among its elevated stations without further description. Platform 1 is for Noida Electronic City and Vaishali, Platform 2 for Dwarka Sector 21. Through trains between Dwarka and Vaishali exist, while other trains for Vaishali require a change at Yamuna Bank, where the Blue Line divides. The trains on both platforms belong to the main Blue Line service between Dwarka Sector 21 and Noida Electronic City, with the Vaishali branch as the only variation.
