Jamia Millia Islamia Metro Station
Magenta Line · South East Delhi, Delhi
About Jamia Millia Islamia metro station
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this elevated Magenta Line station on 25 December 2017, as part of Phase III of the Delhi Metro. It takes its name from Jamia Millia Islamia, the university that stands beside it, and DMRC describes it as being in close vicinity of the university, Batla House and Tikona Park.
DMRC also calls it the key connectivity for Joga Bai, Jauhar Bagh, Noor Nagar, Okhla village and the Jamia community centre. For those last few kilometres, DMRC flagged off 25 GPS-enabled e-rickshaws called ETO, which can be booked through the ETO app and cover an area of three to four kilometres around the station. On the line, the neighbouring stops are Okhla Vihar and Sukhdev Vihar, each just under two and a half minutes away, on the Krishna Park Extension – Botanical Garden section.

Departure times from this station on a weekday, as DMRC’s journey planner gives them (checked on Tuesday 20 October 2026; the planner takes no date). DMRC does not publish separate Saturday, Sunday or holiday times for each station, and on special days it announces changes in advance. A last train after midnight belongs to the previous evening’s service. “Not published” means DMRC’s own answer was inconsistent (arrival before departure), so we leave it out.
