The initials stand for Indraprastha Extension, the name of the East Delhi area around the station. It opened on 31 October 2018 as part of Phase III, on the elevated Pink Line, and sits between Anand Vihar ISBT, four minutes away, and Mandawali – West Vinod Nagar.

The station has a working link with the depot as well: elevated feeder lines run from here to the Vinod Nagar Depot, passing over the Delhi Meerut Expressway. Trains here belong to the Pink Line ring service. Passengers heading for Gokulpuri, Johri Enclave or Shiv Vihar change at Maujpur-Babarpur, because the spur to Shiv Vihar is operated as a separate service.

Departure times from this station on a weekday, as DMRC’s journey planner gives them (checked on Tuesday 20 October 2026; the planner takes no date). DMRC does not publish separate Saturday, Sunday or holiday times for each station, and on special days it announces changes in advance. A last train after midnight belongs to the previous evening’s service. “Not published” means DMRC’s own answer was inconsistent (arrival before departure), so we leave it out.
