Welcome is where the Red Line and the Pink Line meet. The Red Line station dates from 24 December 2002, which makes it one of the earliest on the network, and the station was again among the first when the Pink Line arrived in Phase III. DMRC classes it as elevated and as an interchange offering connectivity with multiple metro lines.

The two lines keep separate platforms: 1 and 2 belong to the Red Line, for Rithala and Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda), while 3 and 4 are the Pink Line platforms. On the Red Line the neighbours are Seelampur and Shahdara; on the Pink Line, Jafrabad and East Azad Nagar. Pink Line riders heading to Gokulpuri, Johri Enclave or Shiv Vihar change at Maujpur-Babarpur, since the spur runs as a separate service from the ring.

Departure times from this station on a weekday, as DMRC’s journey planner gives them (checked on Tuesday 20 October 2026; the planner takes no date). DMRC does not publish separate Saturday, Sunday or holiday times for each station, and on special days it announces changes in advance. A last train after midnight belongs to the previous evening’s service. “Not published” means DMRC’s own answer was inconsistent (arrival before departure), so we leave it out.
