Sarai opened on 6 September 2015, one of the first Violet Line stations in Faridabad district, Haryana. It is elevated and stands between Badarpur Border and NHPC Chowk on the Violet Line. DMRC’s page gives only its general note on elevated stations.

The three gates are named after nearby buildings: Vatika Towers (Gate 1), L&T (Gate 2) and Crown Interiorz Mall (Gate 3). Haryana state transport buses also run from a stop outside the station. Sarai is the first stop after Badarpur Border, where DMRC’s frequency table starts a separate section running to Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh), the line’s end.

DMRC does not publish separate Saturday, Sunday or holiday times for each station, and on special days it announces changes in advance. A last train after midnight belongs to the previous evening’s service. “Not published” means DMRC’s own answer was inconsistent (arrival before departure), so we leave it out.
