It was earlier known as Tughlakabad.

The word “Station” in the name is recent. The Violet Line stop opened on 14 January 2011, as part of the Sarita Vihar – Badarpur section, under the name Tughlakabad, and was renamed Tughlakabad Station in December 2014. It is elevated, with side platforms, between Mohan Estate and Badarpur Border in South East Delhi.

The station has a single gate, and DMRC signs it for Tughlakabad Railway Station of Indian Railways, which DMRC lists 0.85 km away. Its own description adds only that it is elevated. On the Violet Line, trains from here run in one direction towards Kashmere Gate and in the other towards Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh).

DMRC does not publish separate Saturday, Sunday or holiday times for each station, and on special days it announces changes in advance. A last train after midnight belongs to the previous evening’s service. “Not published” means DMRC’s own answer was inconsistent (arrival before departure), so we leave it out.
