Arjan Garh opened on 21 June 2010 on the Yellow Line and, as DMRC itself puts it, is the last station in Delhi before the line enters Gurugram. It is elevated, stands on the Mehrauli–Gurugram Road between Ghitorni and Guru Dronacharya, and has two gates on that road, one towards Aya Nagar and one towards the India Meteorological Department.

The name has a story. The station was first planned a few hundred metres away near the Arjan Garh air force station, but the alignment was moved to Aya Nagar because the original area was not densely populated, and the name stayed. Local residents began a campaign in 2010 to have it changed and took the matter to the High Court of Delhi, which dismissed the petition: naming the station after the air force base could not be considered arbitrary or irrational. DMRC’s description still mentions the Air Force Station and the meteorological centre among the places nearby.
