Trains first called at Hauz Khas on 3 September 2010, when the underground station opened on the Yellow Line. It has since become the crossing point with the Magenta Line, and DMRC sums up the result plainly: the interchange connects Noida and Gurugram and cuts the journey between them by approximately 30 minutes. DMRC also calls it the deepest metro station of its network and a civil engineering marvel made up of seven technical levels; the platforms sit about 29 metres below the surface.

Four platforms are stacked inside that box. Platforms 1 and 2 belong to the Yellow Line, for Millennium City Centre Gurugram and Samaypur Badli, with Green Park and Malviya Nagar on either side. Platforms 3 and 4 serve the Magenta Line towards Botanical Garden and towards Janakpuri West and Krishna Park Extension, with IIT and Panchsheel Park as the neighbouring stops. Magenta trains here run only on the Krishna Park Extension – Botanical Garden section; the separate Deepali Chowk – Majlis Park section cannot be reached by a through train, because the link between the two is still under construction.

A last train after midnight belongs to the previous evening’s service. “Not published” means DMRC’s own answer was inconsistent (arrival before departure), so we leave it out.
