Shakurpur opened on 14 March 2018 on the Pink Line, between Netaji Subhash Place and Punjabi Bagh West. It is an elevated station with an island platform, and DMRC’s description of it is the standard one for an elevated station.

Trains here belong to the Pink ring service: Platform 2 serves trains towards Majlis Park and Yamuna Vihar, Platform 1 those towards Maujpur-Babarpur. The two gates divide the neighbourhood: Gate 1 serves the Indira Gandhi Polyclinic, Wazirpur, the Prachin Shiv Mandir and Gurudwara Guru Singh Sabha, while Gate 2 serves JJ Colony Shakurpur, Shakurpur Village, Shakurpur Crossing and Brittania Chowk.

Departure times from this station on a weekday, as DMRC’s journey planner gives them (checked on Tuesday 20 October 2026; the planner takes no date). DMRC does not publish separate Saturday, Sunday or holiday times for each station, and on special days it announces changes in advance. A last train after midnight belongs to the previous evening’s service. “Not published” means DMRC’s own answer was inconsistent (arrival before departure), so we leave it out.
